It is only steps (a one minute walk from your private parking space!) to enter the crystal clear water at the palm shaded beach, across from the Captain Cook Monument, for the best snorkling in the islands! The pristine bay is a protected Marine Reserve and underwater park providing numerous water activities, kayaking, dolphin sightings and whales. A great variety ofdifferent beaches are all nearby.
Hale Lana is removed from noise and traffic and is fully fenced and gated for added privacy. The home is a new superbly crafted tropical and luxurious pole and beam design showcasing natural woods, Italian tile, tropical furnishings, ceiling fans, large fully equipped kitchenette and large indoor and outdoor showers. The studio is large, open and airy with views of the gardens and mountains. There are several private patios to relax in sun or shade. There are large windows, high ceilings and louvred transoms to allow the balmy breezes and scents of the bay and surrounding plumeria trees to float through. It is easy to let yourself “hang loose” at Hale Lana.
Grocery stores, shopping and numerous restaurants are a 15 minute drive away on Highway 11. There are many areas to explore on foot such as the old Napo’opo’o Wharf and park. Historic Place of Refuge National Park (featuring Hawaiian historical and cultural displays and a Great Wall dating from the 1500’s and also excellent snorkeling)is three miles south. Kayak rental with easy launching and all you need is a block away. Other great beaches are a short drive or walk away. It is an easy drive into “downtown” Kailua-Kona for extensive shopping, dining, night-life, movie theaters, boat harbor and fishing. Volcanos national Park and green and black sand beaches are an easy day trip to the south. There are post offices nearby as well as fruit stands, botanical gardens, Painted Church and coffee and macademia nut farms and palm lined beaches and hiking.
